  • 1 x Festool C-D 125 diamond cutting disc

Extra Information

  • Compatible with Festool AGC 18, DSC-AGC 18 FH, DSC-AG 125 and DSC-AG 125 FH machines.
  • This disc is intended for concrete-based materials; use a material-specific Festool disc for other applications.
  • Always confirm that the machine speed, spindle arrangement, guard and clamping components are suitable for the disc before use.
  • Where supported by the machine, connect a suitable mobile dust extractor to reduce exposure to hazardous concrete dust.
  • Cutting reinforced concrete may expose or contact steel reinforcement; inspect the work area and determine the location of concealed services before cutting.

Pro Tips

  • Mark the cutting line clearly and use a compatible guide system where possible for straighter, more controlled results.
  • Allow the diamond segments to cut at their natural rate; excessive pressure can increase heat, reduce performance and shorten disc life.
  • Use several controlled passes for deep cuts instead of forcing the disc to reach full depth in a single pass.
  • Maintain effective dust extraction throughout the cut to improve visibility and reduce airborne concrete dust.
  • If cutting performance declines, inspect the disc for glazing, damage or excessive wear before continuing.
  • Support the workpiece correctly and plan the cut so that the kerf cannot close and pinch the disc.

How to Use

  • Confirm that the material is suitable for the C-D 125 concrete diamond cutting disc.
  • Check the work area for electrical cables, water pipes, gas lines and other concealed hazards.
  • Disconnect the machine from its power source or remove the battery before installing the disc.
  • Inspect the disc for cracks, damaged segments, distortion or excessive wear and do not use it if defective.
  • Install the disc in the correct direction using the approved flange and clamping components, then secure it according to the machine instructions.
  • Fit and correctly position the machine guard, then connect the extraction system where applicable.
  • Start the machine away from the workpiece and allow it to reach operating speed before beginning the cut.
  • Guide the machine steadily along the marked line without twisting, jamming or applying excessive pressure.
  • After completing the cut, allow the disc to stop completely before placing the machine down or inspecting the blade.

Safety

  • Wear suitable eye, hearing, respiratory, hand and foot protection when cutting concrete.
  • Concrete and masonry dust may contain respirable crystalline silica, which can cause serious illness; use effective dust extraction and an appropriate respirator.
  • Always use the machine guard and approved clamping flanges. Never operate the disc with the guard removed.
  • Verify that the maximum permitted disc speed is not lower than the machine&s operating speed.
  • Inspect the disc before every use and never operate a cracked, distorted, damaged or excessively worn cutting disc.
  • Never use the side of the cutting disc for grinding and do not twist or apply sideways pressure during a cut.
  • Secure the workpiece and keep hands, loose clothing and bystanders away from the rotating disc and cutting path.
  • Be alert to kickback. Maintain a firm two-handed grip and position your body outside the projected cutting line.
  • Check for concealed electrical cables, pipes and structural reinforcement before beginning work.
  • Diamond cutting discs can become extremely hot during operation; allow the disc to cool before handling.
